For the last few days the alarm on my phone has been going off at times when it is not set to do so (specifically, in the middle of the night). I'm using the alarm program that came with the device.

I was recently traveling in a different time zone and the alarm now seems to be going off at the time of morning that I would have awoken there.

Last night there were no alarms set at all - no checks in the little boxes. Still, alarms went off at 3:00 am and 3:15 am, each "notification" telling me it was the 7:00 or 7:15 alarm. Then it went off again at 7:00 am and 7:15 am. Again, this was when there was no alarm set to go off.

Can anyone help? This is a big problem - costing me sleep.

I was writing away after having this neat phone/pda for about a week with the "letter recognizer" input method. After rebooting the device, the input method defaulted to "keyboard" and will not let me change it back to "letter recognizer". Any thoughts?

Hi all,
I will be buying my Tytn II Shortly and noticed that the main problem with users here is Egypt is that they cannot use SATNAV as there are no maps for the tomtom software for cairo.
Can any body guide me to a company who makes the software and provides the maps (with updates)

My husband is a volunteer fire chief and I got the Tilt for his Christmas gift...he has to be able to reach all his fire fighters at one time...he needs to group text. Has anyone accomplished this even if it was with some additional soft ware. If the design team is reading this you made a great pnone group texting works on simple phones why not the Tilt? If any one can help me I would gratly appreciate it.

Help. I have downloaded the TCPMP player on my tilt running WinMo 6.1 After install, I try to start the app, but everythime I get a Crash error.
Any help will be appreciated.

I have had my tilt a year now. I have to charge my battery daily--even without use. It seems my battery only lasts one day. Is this common for a battery to wear out this quick? Where can I get a new one if that is what is needed.

I just updated my tilt to WM6.1. I can recieve emails from my earthlink email account but can not send them. Earthlink support says that i have to make sure that my out going port is 587. I can not find any where on the phone what my outgoing port is. I really need help.

Some other posts on the Wiki reference Quick GPS, but seem to mistake what it does, so I thought I'd clear it up, being a professional in the space.

Quick GPS does not "triangulate" using cellular networks, not even close. Let me start by telling you how a GPS gets a fix on its location, and then explain how Quick GPS offers a shortcut.

The GPS chip receives a synchronized timed signal from the satellites (birds) the US DoD launched into orbit. Each bird uses a different channel. With a good signal from three or more birds, GPS starts to get a fix. It does this by calculating the time difference between the reception of the different signals, then calculating the relative distances to each of the birds, then figuring out where it sits in the middle of the birds.

The GPS calculates four spheres, and its located somewhere on the surface of each of these spheres. There is only one point where these four spheres intersect. That's you.

If you're good at geometry, you might think that it needs 4 birds to get a fix, but in fact, if the GPS assumes that you are on earth, that provides another sphere, so it only requires 3 birds to get a decent fix. More adds altitude and accuracy.

But the GPS needs to know where each of the birds is before it can decide where IT is. That information is not calculated, but is available in a detailed download of orbital data provided by the DoD called ephemeris data. It is transmitted...from the bird to your GPS. For a cold start, your GPS needs to download the entire file, without interruptions in the signal - BEFORE it can even start getting a fix. In fact, the GPS may not even know which channels to tune into, since it doesn't yet know which birds are currently overhead. This causes a slow first fix.

Quick GPS, is simple. Ephemeris data is passed thru WiFi or cellular data connection ahead of time, and you never have to wait for it to download over the satellite. Awesome.

I just recently bought the Tilt and the whole LCD screen cracked while the phone was in my pocket, just sitting there, minding its own business. Now the touch screen does not work. AT&T told me that I couldn't buy insurance for the phone (because the phone is too epensive and people easily fraud the company). So now I am at a loss for what to do. I do not have insurance, I can't return it because it is cracked and the cheapest replacement for the screen I have found is for $200. Is there anything I can do? I feel like I have been thrown into a messy situation with no fault of my own! HELP!
