I have the XDA 2i version of this phone, I am very happy with how versitile it is. I use it as a phone and pocket pc for language studies using video and audio files, as well as diary and I have downloaded nautical and gps software for work. I like the large screen size, I did have the backpack extension but had snags with it. I would like a larger storage capacity but apart from that it's great.

Anonymous Replacing O2 Active UI 1 Jul 4 2007, 11:03 AM EDT by Anonymous

O2 UK released the XDA IIi with their O2 Active UI which quite frankly is pretty grim and slows the machine down.
To get rid of this do hard reset and choose Corporate Install with the code 0506. To downloaded the O2 Plus GUI which is supplied to users in the Far East and Australasia go to the XDA_Developers.com forum (General-Discussion>General) posing O2 Plus_Version 2.0 page 6 and download my_o2plus_v2.0__202200106__all_devices.rar.
Unpack this on your PC, copy the cab file to your XDA install it and hey presto a more efficient UI.
You will have to manually set up your GPRS, WAP and MMS settings but the info for this is available on the same website as is the A2DP patch to make Stereo Bluestooth headphones work and the modified Windows Media Player skins to enable AVRCP.
