GPS maps and software that work for Egypt (Cairo)

Hi all,
I will be buying my Tytn II Shortly and noticed that the main problem with users here is Egypt is that they cannot use SATNAV as there are no maps for the tomtom software for cairo.
Can any body guide me to a company who makes the software and provides the maps (with updates)

Try IGO, they have recent map ffor Egypt. I don't know if it include Cairo/ 39  out of 41 found this valuable. Do you?

Me myself had bought a HTC (touch) that works with external gps,
after a great effort I became sure that I am in need of :-

- Gps receiver mod. (freedom keychain gps 2000)
- Google navigator software
- Egypt map from sales@landinfo.com 15  out of 15 found this valuable. Do you?

I already have the GPS device inside the TYTN II and installed IGO but the maps for egypt are quite old ... 12  out of 12 found this valuable. Do you?

So are u saying not to get IGO for egypt? If so do u know of any others shows the latest for Cairo?
I just bought a TYTN II P4550 and it is on its way from Texas to Cairo. Can you email me the file for IGO if you think that is the best option. 6  out of 6 found this valuable. Do you?

I don't know if the maps are updated for Cairo but I love Google maps mobile for where I live.

Yes there is Sygic Software it has a map for Cairo and ALexandia only, it works with HTC TyTn2 and others also works with external GPS reciever.. 10  out of 10 found this valuable. Do you?

Is the Gps is allowed in Egypt or still forbiden as my previous info it was forbidden even the mobile phones having it (n95) 6  out of 7 found this valuable. Do you?

may you advise how to download from IGO and send me the site. Concerning the maps is it downloaded on the tytn 2 or u have to access the internet every time to view the map.

Pls advise as i was suffering with tytn II gps to use in Cairo, Egypt 6  out of 6 found this valuable. Do you?

for using google maps it always access the internet as long as i am navigating and if internet connection fail it stop the navigator and no use for the GPS. do u have a solution 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

the only software with a slightly decent map for cairo..is Sygec 7 which workd on my htc touch diamond....but as everyone knows ...no updated maps for egypt as long gps is not allowed, so u wouldnt find a company trying to produce one for u..simply 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?
