i'm setting up my phone to receive Outlook email from work. When it asks for a password, I need to enter in some capital letters. How can I access the capital letters? The only ones that I can see are small caps.

Hi... glad to discover this group, hope someone knows the answer to this, probably simple question. Is there a way to have my contacts preset to display only my "business" contacts? I have the categories selected, but it keeps wanting to display all contacts instead of defaulting to business as I would like... thanks

I get up early in the morning and when I power up my phone that music blares and wakes up my wife. About 6 months ago I was playing around with some .xml files in my phone (like home.xml) and stumbled across a parameter that allowed me to shut off that music at code level. Life was good until I installed the updated ROM firmware from HTC's website last week. Now the music is back and I don't remember what/where that .xml file was. Can anybody help me?

Anyone else have their phone just randomly power off for no good reason? I turn the thing back on and the battery is fine. This is annoying.

I have the 3125, nice phone but I'm begining to experience some problems after only a few months. The problem I have is when I power the phone off and power it on it freezes up for several minutes. I sometimes have to repeatedly power on and off to get to work. I've try the master reset and removing the battery but still it continues to do the same thing. What's going on here? Anyone know?

I was wondering if you could assist me. Cingular telephone support has been fantastic, but after getting kicked up to their second level support, all they know to do is send me to get a free replacement phone. This is too time consuming, and I have my phone set up exactly how I want it this time and don't want to exchange.
My problem is simple. The phone goes to sleep. It even says "Phone Off" where it usually says Cingular. I have now confirmed that other than a master reset (where I also lose everything), the only way to wake up the phone is to try and make a call, and then the device will tell me it is off and ask me if I want to turn the phone on. Simple enough fix, but you have no idea how long the phone has been off, and all your incoming calls go right to voice mail. Is there some way to update the "firmware" or some fix anyone knows? Brian

i just bought a micro sd card (2gb) and i installed it and my phone doesnt read it i guess. it doesnt have a sorage card folder or anything. Any suggestions? ( if reformatting it works, i need to know how to do that)

my cell phone was acting up on me so i took the battery out bout two weeks ago...i put it back in and it lost the ability to turn on.... i leave it to charge and i do get the steady red light...but once i try turning it on...the light goes green and nothing happens....i called cingular and they sent me a new phone....still the same thing...so i bought a new battery....same thing....what do i do?

My phone used to play an alert for my calendar reminders. I went on vacation and didn't have my phone with me most of the time (no service) and when we got back I noticed that my phone doesn't play sounds or display reminders for calendar items. Everything else seems to be working fine. I checked the sound settings and it is still set to play a sound for reminders. Why isn't it working??

the charger in my 3125 is obviously bad. Will not stay in phone. Where can I purchase an extra battery as I have a universal charger.(MYBAT)

Hey all. Can anyone tell me how to turn up the ringer volume on my 3125? My external display is broken (just shows all white) and I forget what to do. I thought you could increase the volume when a call was coming in but the unit is set to answer with the press of a button.
I figured it was the buttons on the side of the headpiece but am not sure because of the bad external display and the internal screen doesn't show ringer volume, just the earpiece volume. Thanks!! |

I have the 3125 and after over a year of working fine, all of my voicemails have the wrong time on them by 3 hours. I a EST but every VM is 3 hours less. So if I am 9am the VM says 6am. I have made sure I am in the right time zone on the settings, did multiple power ups/downs, and my actual clock time is correct too. My laptop is EST and that time is correct as well. I don't know if it is my phone or the cell towers are off.
Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

My screen/display suddenly went black and is not functioning. It is not cracked or physically damaged. I just powered it on yesterday and there was nothing on either the main or exterior display, not even the Cingular or Windows start up screen. Nothing. The keypad does light up and function and there is audio. I can access all data, etc., via a USB cable on my PC. The day before I turned it on and the keypad lit up first and then the main display turned on 20 or 30 seconds later, whereas typically the display and keypad turn on at the same time. Without the main display the phone is absolutely worthless. Has this happened to anyone? Any ideas?

i passed the 3125 onto my girlfriend however i can not remove the hotmail that is in the messages section. she can access her hotmail through the internet but my email still shows up through the messaging. how do i delete it?
