I've had 3 of these phones and they all have the same problem, Windows Media Player has issues with keeping the media library. From online research I've discovered how to fix it, temporarily, but it's really inconvenient. For those of you who don't know, here's how to fix it.
Step 1 - Go to "File Explorer and go to the data files location, IE: Storage Card Step 2 - If not already set, click "Menu" and select "Show All Files" Step 3 - Delete folder labeled "MSMETADATA" Step 4 - Go to "Windows Media Player" and update library Like I said, it only fixes the problem temporarily so you will have to repeat it frequently (well I have to anyway). I really hope they fix the problem because it makes the library not as easily organized and all play count, etc is lost. For example, when you sync from your PC, if a song is by two artists, IE "The Boy Is Mine" by Brandy and Monica, it will place the song under "Brandy" and under "Monica", but when you have to go through this process it places the song under "Bandy/Monica"

According to the help link on m.youtube.com the windows media player should play their videos, but mine doesn't. Media player starts, but then gives me the error "Media file type not supported." Does anyone else have this issue? What can I do to fix this? Do I need a codec for youtube flv files? Thanks.

I have downloaded music onto my 8125. Some of the music was downloaded from the internet - others from my cd collection. When I play a song - the song plays for about 15 seconds then freezes up the phone. I have to do a soft reset to unfreeze the phone. I have called cingular - they confirmed I had downloaded the correct type of music files. They also said they have had several calls regarding similar problems. Has anyone had this problem? If so, how can I fix this?
