8525 FAQ & Troubleshooting
All the trouble started when I downloaded MS Voice Command 1.6. It was terrible. Now I can not use the Voice
Seed Dial with my bluetooth headset or carkit. I attempted to do a "hard reset" on the phone, up it get hung up promoting me to press "yes or no". I can not get the reset to work.
Can anyone help me?

Does anyone know how to program the 8525 to view videos? I tried viewing a youtube video and the device won't do it.

I bought the new 8525 brand new off eBay, worked great for about 1 1/2 month and then all of a sudden its speaker went dead. The speaker at the back is not working, no sound from it for incomming calls, speaker phone is not working. The small speker at the front for phone does work for phone purpose, also the earphone is working but no sound from the back speaker. First I thought that it may be some software issue so I soft-reset it, but it didn't start working, I even did a hard-reset but that too didn't help. Since I bought off eBay and I'm not a Cingular subscriber, it has become so hard to get it repaired/replaced under warranty. Today I mailed it to HTC/Cingular repair center in Houston and I'm hopping that they will be able to fix it without costing much. I loved this phone till now but now I'm re-thinking about it stability. And why not I bought it for $400.00 and it didn't even worked for 1-2 years. Has any one faced with such problem?

Please help! Yesterday my Cingular TyTN went out of battery, and when recharging (and turning on) the phone hangs at the Welcome Screen, and no further operation is possible! The WiFi radio appears to initialize, because I see the left LED blinking regularly (the right one stays in amber/green while charging). I badly need to backup some bank account transactions held inside the phone's main memory, therefore a hard-reset is completely out of the question. Is there any means to access the phone in such state via USB? I am looking for some program that can access the phone via USB port like a USB pen drive, or something (bypassing entirely ActiveSync, for obvious reasons): once there, I can save the account's database, and THEN I can proceed with the hard-reset. Is there any method to do so? Maybe BitPim, or something? Please, someone assist...
Remember: the phone starts up, but stays in Welcome Screen. USB Connectivity is possible |

I put WM6 (Windows Mobile 6) in my HTC TyTn and I am using XP,
I have hard reset the device, reinstalled activsync 4.5 and it keeps showing the message "USB device not recognized" (USB Device not recognised). any ideas please ? |
