Hi, i have the HTCS710 (VOX) with windows mobile 6, whhen i am surfing over the web(GPRS or WIFI) if I find any video or audio fiel with the streaming option if I make click on it, it opens windows media playe but after that i give me an error message, any suggestions?

Hi there, I've a bit of a problem at work. Or more of a challenge. We would like to have our workers to be able to buy a smartphone. We are running Lotus notes 7.0.1 on the server. Because the workers have to use their phone for at least 10% for working matters (for tax advantage), we want to provide them with the possibility to use a webbrowser to check their mail and callender. We've the oppertunity for the workers to check their mail and callander at home through webmail. We would like to provide them with something similair on their smartphone. The idea is to set some demands on the kind of smartphone they can buy. We were thinking of a smartphone with Windows Mobile 6 with Internet explorer and a working Internet connection. Can anyone help me?

I bought my HTC S710 just 10 weeks ago, and my screen cracked while in my pocket!
Did anyone has such a problem?
Is this problem common with this phone?
Do you know if warranty is valid for this damage?

yep... the HTC people in Australia are pathetic, i put it in 8 weeks ago, i finally got my quote and they are charging me $218.80 just for the replacement of the LCD screen. DONT BUY THIS PHONE, go for an iphone instead, there better and dont break as much!

Hi everybody,
I just purchased an S710 and I have a question. My office uses Lotus Notes for email and calendar. How can I syncronize my appointments to my cell phone? Anybody has the same situation?

I have been using Lotus Easy Sync Pro 3.x for several years with WM5 with no problems. It has been great - email, calander and contacts. But I have upgraded to WM6.1 and Easy Sync Pro 3.x is starting to have issues. I will have to upgrade to version 4 to fix, I suspect.
I did try mNotes - it's rubbish - I could never get it to work. I also tried Intellisync with WM5. This worked OK, but it appeared to be exactly thge same as Easy Sync Pro - I would suggest that Lotus bought the Intellysync code and rebranded it.
Any way for WM6 EasySync Pro works. It's the only that has worked, and it is the only one made specifically for lotus notes. I highly recommend it.

I wanted to know if anybody sells, HTC part such as LCD screens cause mine broke and I need to repair it. I have a S710, just got it.
I live in Costa Rica so we don`t have tech support over here. And that sucks!!!!!

Just taken delivery of this phone, Audi MMI bluetooth car connection sees all call history, received and dialed calls but cannot access the contact list/phonebook. Any ideas?

Hi,
i'm wondering if anybody else has this problem...
When I'm listening to some music over the (wired) headset and receive a text message, the music get's briefly output via the speakerphone while I get the SMS notification sound over the headset. After that the music switches back to the headset.
This can get quite embarrassing when I'm at the bank waiting in line and listening to some "not safe for work" podcasts.
Anybody else have problems with mulit-audio playback on their vox?

I am unable to change many of the today screen options. For instance, I want to change some settings in the START>SETIINGS>PERSONAL tab that windows mobile has. However, I don't get a PERSONAL tab coming up. Do different phone companies use different versions of Windows mobile or is there something I am missing?

I believe the PERSONAL tab is unique to the Professional (touch screen) version of WM6. The WM6 Standard that comes on non-touch phones (such as the s710) makes do with a more simplified HOME SCREEN, with fewer options.

Well - a little more exploring and I found the answer - through Mobile Device Center > (this is gonna be direct translation from Danish so bare with me if it's not exactly what it says in english) Cancel Exchange Partnership
Hereafter you can add a new partnership with our personal log-on details.

Does anyone have the problem on the s710 that after you watch youtube or vtap video on it, the home screen doesnt go black. It stays on. Mine stayed on all night and ate up a lot of battery. I have had to Hard reset everytime i watch videos on it. The screen goes dim but that's the way it stays.

I had this problem with my Orange SPC E650, however a clear storage restart solved the issue. Luckily for me I have everything sync'd with outlook so a restart is not a problem.

I've read lots of posts about this. Seems you have to add the BT DUN, though even then I've not got the two working correctly together....yet !

Got my new s710 (well Vodafone v1415) yesterday, came to setup an email account today and cannot as the POP3 username I need to use has the percent sing (%) in - there is no way this can be entered as the phone won't allow access to symbols when enter the username...

I updated mine from Dr Gonzo, it is awesome. It has a great home screen UI and lots of new features AND it ilso fixed an issue with ActiveSync that my phone was exhibiting (that i tried for several months finding a solution to but to no avail).

Hi everybody,
I have an HTC S710. Up to today, on top of the screen, next to the G (GPRS) a number 1 appeared. The phone worked perfectly.
Today, for no apparent reason, a number 2 appears, and suddenly, Im not being able to place any phone calls.
I can recieve phone calls and I can send and recieve sms properly. Just to be sure, I tried my SIM on a different phone and I was able to place calls.
Anybody has any idea on how to change this or how to set it back to the normal settings? Help is greatly appreciated!!

I have an HTC5800 from bell. Same as S710. I have been using a Palm Tungston for years and now I want to port over all my data from Palm Desk top to the HTC. ANyone know how I can do this with out using Outlook?
