New to Win Mobile 6 - How to sync with Lotus Notes
Nov 27 2007, 11:40 AM EST Hi everybody, I just purchased an S710 and I have a question. My office uses Lotus Notes for email and calendar. How can I syncronize my appointments to my cell phone? Anybody has the same situation? Thank in advance, Dan 13 out of 13 found this valuable. Do you? |

Dec 18 2007, 5:10 AM EST You need to install Easy Sync Pro 4.2.5 on your desktop (it'll automaticaly install sw on the HTC) and then you'll be able to syncronize your mail, calendar, contact, and task 9 out of 9 found this valuable. Do you? |

Feb 7 2008, 1:31 AM EST Hi again. we tried to install mnotes5 intaller with the HTC TyTN II. we have just successfully sync the calendar and the address book from PC, but we cannot sync the mail files (.nsf of the Lotus Notes ver 6.5). also after the installation of mnotes5 on the HTC and we tried to navigate the HTC, this is to troubleshoot why we wont able to sync the mail file. On the HTC programs files we saw msuite.exe intalled instead of mnotes.exe. could anyone here help me to solve this problem thanks. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Jun 10 2008, 11:06 PM EDT I have successfully sync everything in my Notes to my HTC mobile using mNotes. Pls note that mNotes uses special TCP ports to send out your email for remote sync, pls check if your company firewall allows it. And I also noticed that mNotes changed my Notes settings that all mails where being sent out directly to Internet i/o via our Domino server. As a result, I uninstall my mNotes from both PC and PDA. Anyone use Easy Sync pro, any comment ? 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Jun 13 2008, 11:29 AM EDT First of all, mNotes SUCKS period. I have never had such bad customer service in my life as I have with them. I have the trial version trying to get it to sync correctly before I buy and it just won't do it. I emailed support and would get an email back 4 days later asking for something and wouldn't get anything for another 4 days from someone else asking for something different and this just kept going on and on and then they gave me a BS answer finally. I can't get my address book to sync which is very important. I have the email (which I could careless about) and my calendar syncing but that is only because I spent HOURS by myself figuring it out. I told commontime where to put there program and I am going to tell anyone and everyone I know how much they suck. Now it is not your fault they suck so bad, so I will let you know what I did to get my email working. I had to actually put in my database line mail/41678.nsf which is my actual mail file. Then in server I put pmail03/svr/mailserver which is the server and the path where my mail file is. I hope that helps you out. The only way for me to get my address book to work was to copy it to a different path and sync it with that but then it wouldn't take any changes I make, so I have to copy it over again when I made changes. As for Lotus Easy Sync, well that's a piece of junk too. Unless someone can tell me how to sync without having to shut down Notes everytime I want to sync. When I was using my Palm, I was able to get a few programs working but going to my AT&T Slide and wonderful MS Mobile :P, I can't sync worth crap. And I think I have tried every single program out there. So if anyone one comes up with something that works rather well, please let me know, I already have enough gray hairs from my son. :) 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Jun 30 2008, 1:57 AM EDT I have been using Lotus Easy Sync Pro 3.x for several years with WM5 with no problems. It has been great - email, calander and contacts. But I have upgraded to WM6.1 and Easy Sync Pro 3.x is starting to have issues. I will have to upgrade to version 4 to fix, I suspect. I did try mNotes - it's rubbish - I could never get it to work. I also tried Intellisync with WM5. This worked OK, but it appeared to be exactly thge same as Easy Sync Pro - I would suggest that Lotus bought the Intellysync code and rebranded it. Any way for WM6 EasySync Pro works. It's the only that has worked, and it is the only one made specifically for lotus notes. I highly recommend it. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

I upgraded Lotus Easy Sync Pro to 4.2.6 and still have problems. When I start to sync I get message "Unable to connect to device". Anyone have the same problem? How to fix it?
