my unit "shuts down' when pressing any button. in a dark room, you can still see that the screen is still on where you can see a black color on it. the screen is blank. and at this point if your press any button. randomly it will occasionally re-start or more often the re-start, vibrate and show the htc logo screen. to re-start in a new cycle, the battery has to be removed, then placed back in, and the start button pressed. this re-start on a 9 out of 10 times will not correct whats i just explained.
i even did a complete 'cold' or new re-boot to no avail. any incite on getting this unit to operate properly would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem where there is distortion of the screen first from the top till it covers the screen with pinkish colour .later it chnages to bluish grey colour and then none of my keys work i cannot switch off .If i remove battery icannot and try switching on i cannot do so.The cell takes its time to come back to normal it happens when i try to charge.Any info on this.I have no clue it has just started i have formatted once but it did not work. Do you find this valuable?

It would appear that your digitizer is failing, that is a hardware problem that needs to be addressed by a repair service, Is it under warranty ?
