I just got my phone. Like it !! A few bugs I'm sure some of them are me.
The headphones that came with the set are so so. I tried ht820and razor S9's and get the same result. Cut out about every 15 to 20 seconds!!! I wear the phone on my belt with no excessive movement. Whats the deal? Bad phone-bad headsets -or dumb phone owner? Eugene |

I recently purchased the HTC PPC6800 and upgrade to WM 6. Everything seems to work but the Micro SD Card. I have a 2.0g card and when I place it in the device it does not recognize it. I used the adapter and put it in my laptop and everything works fine. I read on this site http://blogs.msdn.com/windowsmobile/archive/2007/01/12/everything-you-want-to-know-about-sd.aspx that I might need a updated driver since the card is a 2.0g. This is the actual quote from the site
Carsten, Windows Mobile itself supports >2G cards. It just needs a driver update, similar to what you did on your Palm. Driver updates, however, come from the OEMs, not from us. Any help would be appreciated. |

Has anyone tried to use the PPC-6800 as a modem to dial remote connections? I had a Motorola V710 which was recognized by my laptop as a "USB Modem" to dial a remote modem connection(either Internet or Non-Internet). I have a tether connection to allow my laptop to access the Internet via broadband using Bluetooth or USB Cable and that works great. My problem is that I also need to dial remote connections that aren't on the Internet itself, but are remotely dialed modem connections. I have proprietary software on my laptop that looks for a modem to dial out on. It can't find a modem configuration using the 6800 like I used to with the V710. Can anyone please steer me in the right direction to make this work? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Is there a way to tweak the registry files or something to make incall sound louder? When I am talking to someone its not that easy to hear them and yes i have everything cranked when I am talking. I read in some forums of people doing it to there 6700 models. So I was wondering if anyone knows of anything to do with the 6800? Thanks inadvance for any replies!!

Alrighty, this phone is awesome to say the least..till it pooped out on me...
Firstly, the phone started to only work in landscape mode (slide out) and then would only be able to hear people talking that way to..basically to the point where thats the only time the phone would work. The screen did some funky lookin lines and what not.. So i dont have insurance or anything on it..mistake..So i took the bad boy apart, found out that the Flex Cable had a slight tear in it..go figure..sooo i fixed that repaired got a new on..still nothing on the LCD screen..it lights up..everything does..but no visual...is it the LCD screen im assuming????? Anybody else have dere problem? THANKS |
