prob with rom upgrade

I have an unlocked ppc6800 and went to do a rom upgrade but it gets to 10% and fails i have tried to recover but doesnt work now i cant get into the phone please help>>>>>>> Do you find this valuable?

What is the error message you are getting for the failure (if any)?
Have you tried from another PC?
 Do you find this valuable?

yep tried on another pc same issue error 290 which isnt in the readme.doc i am using the alltel rom upgrade maybe i should try a different. Do you find this valuable?

If you are trying to load a ROM that is not specifically for your device, it will fail. This is due to the ROM's being locked to the model that they are intended for.
What version is your 6800? If you are not sure, I can find out using the Part Number (sometimes listed as the P/N or S/N on your device). Do you find this valuable?

i did find that this was a Qwest mogul ppc 6800. Model # BTR6800 Phone Model: ppc6800/xv6800. and what seems to happen is when i run the program it get to 12% then the phone reboots to the 4 color bar screen. Do you find this valuable?

and now that i see that its a xv6800 i am trying the rom upgrade now. Do you find this valuable?

If i blow it away with manuf. settings would it restore it to norm? Do you find this valuable?

What you need to do is reflash it with the original Quest rom that shipped with the phone. If you can't find a copy, then try over at www.ppcgeeks.com they are the best rom repository for Moguls. After that then try to upgrade again with a Quest upgrade rom. Do you find this valuable?
