Charger Base Currently own the Sprint Pocket PC PPC-6700 and am switching to the Mogul. Love having the charger base with the USB synch...does anyone know if the bases are compatible? If not, does anyone sell a base for the Mogul?

using ekey from GE Supra for Realtors it took Surpa about 2 months to approve the PPC-6700 from Sprint after it was released. I can't even imagine how long it's going to take for them to get the Mogul on their approved list, especially since it's one of the first devices with Windows Mobile 6. I would recommend e-mailing Supra repeatedly ([email protected]) as I did for the XV6700.

Bug List Sprint Mogul/HTC 6800 Bug List (Hopefully prod development gets this!

Mogul Bug/Issue List (from 2 phones) 6800 HTC
Running 2.09.651.3 ROM 6/14/07
PRI 1.24_003
PRL 60610
HW Version 0003
D2.09
Active Sync 4.5.0 Build 5096
1.Using Windows Media player generally is a pain in the neck. Want to be able to just load the card with MP3’s and play them. Don’t need that application in the way, resizing and converting to WMA’s automatically and other nonsense like that. Pressing Music sends one off to the Sprint music store; as much as marketing is into making me interested in that, I'm not. Can't even use that player tab, stuff is off the screen, whatever.
2. Want a way to delete Sprint Software Store and Music and maybe Live Search from the front menu. Just using up screen space.
3. When playing music, power consumption should be kept to an absolute minimum. Eats the battery, playing through Bluetooth. Battery life is generally an issue. Barely lasts a day.
4. If one pauses the music player and has the “start music after phone call’ box checked, and one gets a call (that didn’t get answered), the music starts playing all by itself. What’s that noise coming from my pocket??? Re-start music should only start if one was playing before the call came in!!!
5. Bluetooth quality seems not great, more volume would be good, choppy at times when listening to music (through stereo phones). I saw the ROM update but am wary of the comments that Bluetooth will then randomly cut out.
6. Activesync should have a manual start feature, and before one starts the synchronization, one should be able to set the sync configuration. That is, it seems one can only tell it not to sync something only after it has synced!
See next post for the rest of my diatribe!

New 2.17 ROM, still having some bluetooth issues My Sprint Mogul does not drop BT connections as often and the phone does lock up (crash) near as often as it before upgrading to the 2.17 ROM. However, their are still more such incidents than their should be. Also, when I'm using the BT headset and try to connect to my BT Garmin Mobile 10x, I usually have to soft boot the phone to get it to find the Garmin GPS unit. That was not the case before updating to 2.17. After connecting to the BT Garmin, I can connect to the BT headset again and they work together OK. The other day I thought the phone had gone totally crazy. Every time I received a call BT auto answered as I have it set to do and the call was lost immediately. When the person called again there was no BT connection and I had to receive the call w/o BT. This drove me nuts until I noticed that the WIFI switch had been accidentally turned on. There was no WIFI connection. However, why should turning on WIFI totally screw up BT? If they are both built into the phone you would think they would coexist.

HTC 6800 update for Bell I don't know what to make of this one. The included document says It's the same 2.13 ROM that shipped with the device but gives a date of Nov.22, 2007. the document itself is dated Dec.10, 2007:
"You can confirm a successful update by [Start] [Settings] [System] [Device Information] and confirm these values have change to the Local Network Providers settings.
ROM version: 2.13.666.1 / ROM date: 11/22/07 / Radio version: 1.37.30 / Protocol version: ACAAAAM-4070
Hardware version: 0003 / PRL version: 31396 / PRI version: 1.27_007
And why is it on the old UTStarcom site instead of the HTC's? the older PPC-6700 was branded by UTStarcom but the PPC-6800 is HTC. Very strange. It could be a very watered down update and may not even be all that beneficial.
I had already flashed my phone with a modified Sprint ROM. Although functionally, it works well, I don't like some of the customizations done to it. Phone works fine and the earpiece is actually louder. Haven't tried bluetooth yet. I might give this 2.13 version a try and see how it goes.
