One of the cool things about smartphones is that they're programmable. There are gearheads out there building apps that make your 6700 experience more robust, more useful, more FUN!

  • ZoomBoard is a high-tech Windows Mobile Pocket PC keyboard. The popping up magnifying glass provides an instant zoom-in on the keyboard area under your finger. Sliding technology allows for accurate and quick text input. ZoomBoard typing is misprint free!

  • VITO AudioNotes is a windows mobile audio recorder. It is the easiest Pocket PC recorder for recording voice notes, lectures, interviews, negotiations or anything else you like to your Pocket PC. Quick and intuitive, it allows you to store your important information as voice notes instead of endless stylus tapping. With VITO AudioNotes you can record virtually anything effortlessly!

  • SMS-Chat allows threaded SMS messaging. It organizes text messages into separate chats, one per contact. Multiple SMS sending, finger-friendly interface, forward & resend and more! With SMS-Chatyou have a separate chat for every contact with whom you exchange short text messages.

    • Saki Mobile lets you stay connected with friends and information (for free). It includes an RSS reader, avatar IM, Email client, movie ticker system, weather, user profiles, and other features built into one application..The nice thing is that all the features are accessible through desktop tickers and widgets! PocketNow calls its socially networked interface the "MysSpace of mobiles."

    Saki Desktop

    • Spb Pocket Plus and Spb Time are 2 great applications that work fine on PPC 6700. Spb Time gives you all the functionality of a world clock, alarm clock, and stopwatch in one application. Orb.com - Stream Music, Stream TV, Record TV, Upload / Download files
Gotomypc.com - remote into a computer from anywhere (good if terminal serving into the computer messes things up like if you use hauppauge card to record tv shows)
Chronos - Create several alarms using .wav or .mp3 or .midi files (I use it so my phone TELLS me what time it is on the hour and half hours)
winampaq - plays .ogg files which I think sound better than .mp3's and .wma's which seem to be skippy when played on my phone.
Pocket TV Browser - download a weeks worth of tv guide info to your phone which is searchable and it will create reminders in your calendar
