HTC Touch Pro (Sprint) Picture Mail problems

Does anyone have any solutions for how horribly slow picture mail is on Sprint's HTC Touch Pro? It often hangs, and does not seem to work in the background. It is most frustrating that it won't send pictures in the background, because sending photos is so terribly slow. Does anyone know of any solutions? I can download/upload picture files a billion times faster than picture mail can send them. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

I would love an answer to this. It doesn't even seem like you can always resend. I just had an old picture go through after 6 days! Do you find this valuable?

I got an email from Sprint customer support and they said they were aware of the problem and are working on it. No word on how long it would take or when the next update would be out. Do you find this valuable?

I've also found another problem. After installing Sprint Picture mail I could no longer sync my phone with any computer. Fought this for weeks to just now figure it out. Hope this helps someone so they don't have to fight it as long as I did. Do you find this valuable?

I have the Diamond, and picture mail is a 50/50 chance it gets thru. Most of the time, it comes back after 10 min and says failed. It is not a reliable service. Reported to Sprint support and they told me to do a hard reset. -I refused. The more people that call Sprint tech support to support this means they will take issue more seriously. Do you find this valuable?

I am getting an error message when I send a photo... P12... is anyone else getting that message... I called sprint tech support... been on the phone for over an hour and they can't figure it out... I can receive pics but I can't send them... when I do receive pics it still takes forever to get them...

I sent a pic to my email address this morning and it took almost 8 hours to get to me.... I never experienced this before with my other phones.... this is crazy... Do you find this valuable?

PM on the Touch Pro is horrible, I have to agree. It has been slow recently, but I have not experienced 8 hours. It did take me 1.5 hours to get three pictures. I don't know that Sprint has any plans to fix the picture mail issue. If you sending to another person's phone you really can't get away from Picture Mail which is terrible, but if you are sending to other sites such as Facebook, then check out ShoZu. http://www.shozu.com/portal/index.do So much faster, and unlike the Touch Pro, it operates in the background. Do you find this valuable?

There IS an alternative to Sprint Picture mail, it's called sMMS. I use this extensively. It is ALOT more reliable than Sprint pm. It's basic functions work right out of the box, and if you want more elaborate functions (like gallery mode) a $5 donation to SomeguysMMS, and he will send you the unlocking code. go <a href ="http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=22509">here</a> to check this out

When I get picture mail, I get that pop up notification and sound, then i dismiss it, and it does the same thing over and over again like 5 times while i'm trying to get to my picture mail...it ticks me off..anyone getting this problem? Do you find this valuable?

Funny - what DOES work for me (on my HTC Touch Pro) is that if I send an email to my (username)@pm.sprint.com (username is the name you use when signing in to the Sprint picturemail website) email address - I get them all day long - right away! Try it - send from your gmail, or yahoo - whatever to (your username)@pm.sprint.com - you'll more than likely get it right away on your phone. It's a great alternative instead of having your friends send them to your phone number. :) Do you find this valuable?

I would say it's a problem on your phone - with the picturemail software. Of course when you call support - you'll probably talk to the first person for about 15 - 20 minutes then have to be transferred because they can't fix it. Once transferred you will fight through giving THAT person your info, they will pull up your account, and when you tell them what the problem is they will say you're talking with the wrong dept. and transferr you again. You will THEN be connected (10 minutes later after horrible hold music) to someone that you can bareley make out their english. This person will answer ALL of your questions with "Hmmmm yesss....yessss..." even if it's NOT a yes or no question. BUT DON'T HANG UP! After the 3rd, maybe 4th person you speak with you will get a replacement phone out of the deal.
I went through this same procedure with my Touch Pro - Sprint customer service, although got me a replacement phone, took WAAAYYY HEEYY HEEYY HEYYY too long to get to end result. I should have been able to speak with one person and it should have taken 15 minutes at best. Don't be transferring me to some sweatshop in a 3rd world country, thinking they have what it takes to fix my shit!!! Do you find this valuable?

I have a non - touch (LG ) phone and I have the same problem with picture mail you guys are describing - and have had this problem for MONTHS. If I attempt to open an individual picture it will say 'processing' and clock FOREVER. Do you find this valuable?
