Problem with HTC Touch Camera
Nov 24 2007, 9:46 PM EST
I have a HTC Touch sice the last 3 weeks and I took good phots the first 2 weeks, but after that the camera failed and red and green lines appeared on the screen when I tried to take photos. I did a hard reset and took off the battery but the lines still there. I need to know what to do with my pda.

I have the same problem, one white line going vertically and one red horizontally. The gsm provider is trying to tell me its normal, but these lines were not there when the phone was new. The phone is now about three weeks old.

I'm having a problem with actually taking pictures... The camera on my HTC seems to take pictures that are corrupt files. I can see the pictures right after taking them, but the files become corrupt directly after I exit view mode. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone else know how to solve it? I could really use some help, thanks.

Are the pics saving to the memory card or onto the device memory?

I have a vertical blue line too. It only happens at a camera mode. No blue line at any other program except camera mode. Anybody try to hard reset to solve the problem?0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

My problem is when I set my camera to save the photos to the card, they will not show up in the camera album. I have to open the pictures and video app to view them. It seemed to work when I first got my phone. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to fix this? I would like to be able to take a photo and then tap on the screen to view them in camera album. Thanks, Do you find this valuable? |

"Im also having this problem.. grrrr..."I'm haveing this problem too. I downloaded the Vogue Patch which did't work. Suggest carrier puts their own sd card in to see if their card works. May be its a card issue. The question is if it is what card works? And for how long, my original card worked for a while then stoped. On mine if you choose option that reviews the picture you have taken there is a picture for a few seconds but were does it go after that is it on the sd card at that point?! Also my sdcard will save text from Word and Notes. There is a defect going on here between the camera which will save pics to the main memory but not sd card. Also Bell IT dept. concluded the HTC Touch sd card could not be formated either by the PC or the phone itself. Toronto 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

"how do you delete the DCIM folder from the storage card?"Nov 29 08 HTC Touch Camera: DCIM stands for Digital Camera IMage, for more information do a search on the internet, I found similar picture issues come up in the list of searches. Also I deleted my DCIM folder and perhaps and I'm not sure of this but I have 2-3 gigs worth of undelectable unaccessable unviewable files on my 4 gig mini sd card proably because I deleted the folder! So careful out there Microsoft Mobile Operating Sytem may not like such deletions. It did enable saving pictures to the sd card but the trade off might & may of been a messed up sd card for which only formating could erase however formating an sd card is not possilbe on the HTC Touch either by PC windows explorer or the cell phone. You could try formating by puting mini card in a USB sd card adaptor which then possibly be formatted. I have not tried this.To delete folder (finally) go to File explorer in Programs on the cell, go to card, press stylus over DCIM folder, then choose delete. For more information phone HTC phone 24/7 hotline. Other undesireable solution is syncing a lot and saving pictures to main memory and deleting them after saving them however, this means you can't show off a big complete photo collection as pictures in main memory will eat up lots of memory. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. So let's tell HTC about it !!! 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

18. RE: Problem with HTC Touch Camera saving to micro sd card
Dec 20 2008, 10:49 PM EST
Dec 20 08 Re: Camera not saving pictures to micro sd card (not mini as reported above) I delected the DCIM file on the 4 gig card and it began saving to sd card but 4 gig card contents a mess. Put in 1 gig micro card camera saved pics to card ok. Formatted the 4 gig micro card (go to My Computer makes sure you got the right drive as all pictures and data etc. will be erased, right click on the right drive and choose formating) with a sd card reader and put the 4 gig back into cell. So far so good but its only been 1 day! These things are "Touchie" !
