Rumor has it HTC will be developing the Google phone in partnership with Google. Learn more about the expected Google phone.

Valleywag, Techcrunch, and Digitimes have all reported insider knowledge that HTC will in fact be working with Google to create the Google Phone.

Google Phone Features

Price: The Google phone is expected to be much cheaper than an iPhone because Google is going after a reduced subscription model, rather gaining revenue from an advertising model where Google will split the ad revenues with the the carrier.

Capabilities: Standard cell phone voice and SMS capabilities, plus easy access to Google services like Google maps, Gmail, Google Search, Blogger and possibly YouTube or Google video. It makes sense that it will also take advantage of wifi hotspots whenever possible.
