My S/W requires me to have a device ID to register and install correctly. Is this ID no. same as IMEI# or Serian No. or something else (how do I find it?).

On the HTC Touch, you can find the Device ID in "Settings - System - Info". However many software registrations are using the Name field in Owner-Info instead of Device-ID ("Settings - Privat - Owner Info"). Hope this will help you or anyone else.

Hello, did you find the answer? I need the same and can find only IMEI # there... Where the hell Device ID # in 8 digits form is?

The number that it is asking for should be the SN number that usually starts with HT. ON the Advantage, it is on the battery door.

Hi. I found something like that: Start/Settings/System/About/Device ID
But I don't know that is what u looking for. I have HTC TP
