"I just bought a telus p4000 htc phone. I am on a bell mobility plan. How can i unlock my phone from telus to use on the bell mobility network? "You would need to get the subsidy unlock code from the carrier that the device is intended for. 1 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

Hey,I got a P4000, and got the subsidy lock code like mentioned by browntannnis, however it still does not work. The reasoning is now that each provider "buys" the esn from the manufacturer (htc) and then that esn # is entered into their database and programmed for their network. So when I tried to activate the phone on bell mobility it did not recognize the esn cause it's not apart of their database. They can activate it anyways on a new account but then usually gets activated as analog phone which is pointless cause then u don't get the EVDO network or txt msg'n etc. Hope this answers your question.
