Tilt doesn't recognize microSD card
Nov 15 2007, 8:25 AM EST HI I'm another newbie, Need some help with my tilt. I purchased a 6gb microSD. Stuck it in the phone and it doesn't recognize it. I tried AT&T support and they couldn't help. Does anyone know what could be wrong? thanks. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Nov 15 2007, 9:45 AM EST What brand card is it? It should recognize up to a 32gb card. Did you try a soft reset then re insert the card? Do you find this valuable? |

Stick the MicroSD card into the SD card adapter. 2. Put the card into your card reader on your laptop/desktop. 3. Open up "My Computer" 4. Right click on the drive letter that is used for your SD Card reader. 5. You should get an option to format. Click on it. 6. A window will popup and just click "ok" to format the card. 7. Wait for the formatting to complete and then you can take your card out. Hopefully it should work. 2 out of 4 found this valuable. Do you? |

MicroSD cards up to 2GB are FAT 16 compatible:You may be right. I don't know if the Tilt is a FAT 16 or FAT 32 device and that's the key. Neither the AT&T nor HTC manuals state which it is. However, the manuals do state it's SD 2.0 compatible and SD 2.0 is FAT 32. So...nevermind. :-) I should have known that the top memory card salesman in the world would know. :-) 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Better question is what are the chances of the sd slot in the TILT getting damaged due to water? (I know it's like most phones; nearly fatal.
