Upgrade to WM6 s621 Telcel (in Mexico)

Well, I bought a s621 cause I´ve seen that this model will be updatable to WM6 but I´v searched a lot and I didn´t founded something about. At the Club HTC recognize my phone as a s620 and of course, I have the same problems than you have.It´s almost impossible to get some information abut this "Upgrade" and I think that HTC must say when gonna launch the upgrade or if they are having problems tou release it. Since it happens, I must wait until they do something for give information to custumers and I ask myself why I didn´t bought another smartphone like HP 610 that already includes the WM6. I hope that the upgrade being available soon as they say... 8 out of 8 found this valuable. Do you?

Hola que tal... veo que estas en mex, asi que te escribo en español....bueno... yo tb me compré el bendito excalibur porque vi que podía meterle el WM6, de hecho tenía el software antes del telefono... bueno... teniendo el tel, al tratarlo de actualizar.... me fastidiaba con el mensaje de "invalid id of model" despues de unas horas de buscarle... encontré que rogers (proveedora de tel de usa) te da el software... solo que viene en inglés y viene personalizado para rogers... además que te cambia la ñ (que viene dibujada en el teclado) por un $... otro tope que encontré es que al actualizar... salia el Vendor id error.... solucion... gastar unos 450 pesos (39 DLLS) y en gsm liberty compré el software para desbloquearlo..... asi que pues.. en unos 15 minutos ya tenia mi cel desbloqueado y con el rom de rogers... no conforme.... segui buscando.... encontré una versión del windows generico (el cual es el que queria) pero en inglés... uhhm... aceptable.... lo instalé sin bronca.... y finalmente conseguí instalar sobre el anterior la versión con español para el windows.... y tengo un s621 que se cree s620, funcionando con telcel, sin bronca.... si quieres te paso los archivos... solo mandame un mail saludos 2 out of 3 found this valuable. Buenas tardes yo tengo un s621 que viene ya con el windows mobil 6.0 pero viene en ingles, yo estoy en la ciudad de méxico y tengo un plan con telcel, el tel. que compre el s621 segun esto ya esta desbloqueadp y de hecho le puse mi chip y esta funcionando bien recibe y hace llamadas y manda mensajes sms y los recibe sin problemas.Pero no puedo enviar mensajes MMS ni puedo navegar por wap ya que mi tel. lo tengo en plan de renta y todo porque segun esto aqui en mexico no es compatible el software que trae mi tel. Alguien me puede ayudar con esto, como puedo configurar el wap y los mensajes MMS, o como puedo borrar todo el sistema operativo que tiene y ponerle de cero el windows mobil 5.o en español y asi la empresa telcel me lo pueda configurar con los servicios a los que tengo derechos y que por causa del windows mobil 6.0 y que esta en ingles no es posible configurarle nada mas. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Duh, no es por el sistema, no le pongas el WM5 ni dejes que los ineptos de telcel le metan mano, no tienen ni idea de nada... Hazle así, tú solito puedes.STEP 1: In Settings, Connections, GPRS, make a New MMS Connection, and enter: Scroll to Description and enter : Telcel MMS Scroll to Connects to and scroll horizontally to : Wap Network Scroll to Access point and enter : mms.itelcel.com Scroll to User name and enter : mmsgprs Scroll to Password and enter : mmsgprs2003 Scroll to Primary DNS : 0.0.0.0 Scroll to Secondary DNS : 0.0.0.0 Scroll to I.P. : Leave Blank Press Done twice . . . STEP 2 . This is the tricky one: Go to Messaging Select Text/Multimedia Menu-New-MMS. Like if you were making a new message Then Menu-0 Options-4 Message Options Then Menu Again.and here you will find on 1-MMSC Settings them Menu-New -Telcel MMS And enter all the info. Name : Telcel MMS MMSC URL : http://mms.itelcel.com/servlets/mms Wap gateway : 148.233.151.240 Port : 9201 Connect via : WAP Network Max. Sending size : 300k WAP version : WAP 1.2 Press Done once Select it as Default account Press Done Twice . . . 5 out of 5 found this valuable. Do you? |

Hola, están muy bien las configuraciones... sin embargo... para el GPRS cuando me trato de conectar me sale el odioso error "El interlocutor ha finalizado esta conexión"alguien sabe si hay algo mas que hacerle de configuraciones??? (especialmente PROXY) saludos Do you find this valuable? |

12. Tengo un problema

Instale el software que vien en el disco, pero cuando conecto mi s621, y cuando aparece una ventana que dice, recuperando datos , la pantalla se pone azul y me aparece el mensaje de erros, que el archivo klpid.sys, que hay problema con el hardware o el software nuevo, y comprueba la memoria y reinicia la maquina, no se que hacer, ojala puedan orientarme, mi correo es : arturoaco@gmail.com
