HTC Touch rom upgrade
Oct 18 2007, 3:19 PM EDT Hello, lots of users have upgraded their Rom on their Touch. I have Rom version 1.11.405.1B Can anyone tell me if HTC has an update or any other working links to a better rom ,please?? Thanks 67 out of 82 found this valuable. Do you? |

Apr 22 2008, 4:10 PM EDT Sprint has released a statement explaining that there will be software upgrades for multiple phones in "Summer 2008" . HTC Touch is one of them. I haven't read any official statements of everything that the upgrade will provide, but users should expect REV-A and possibly the enabling of GPS (fingers crossed) Also, there will be a software update to Windows 6.1. I downloaded the installation document last night and it had the PPC 6800 pics in it but I just checked and now it shows the touch pictures so I think they may have changed it, but I am at work so I can't try it myself. GPS Intermediate Driver
Apr 24 2008, 12:53 AM EDT After the upgrade, the GPS Intermediate Driver is no longer working. For those unfamiliar, this is used to multiplex, for example, an external GPS so that multiple applications can access them via the API. Might poke around a little while longer."Good morning, the upgrade file is back now. They replaced it with the correct ROM. I had sent them an email a couple of nights ago in regards to the file not being the correct file and that the one that was posted on their website was not for the Alltel Touch but was actually for the Alltel PPC6800, and I am sure others also notified them as well. I was able to download it again yesterday and it ran successfully without a hitch. I also just checked and the ROM is still available this morning. Alltel tech support also told me that they will be announcing the upgrade next week to all of the subscribers by text mail or email themselves. But the one on the website worked fine last night when I ran it and thus far I have not experienced any issues. Have a wonderfully blessed day today :) 3 out of 4 found this valuable. Do you? |

This sucks. And GPS doesn't work, sorry I did the update, wasn't worth the new features. 9 out of 11 found this valuable. Do you? |
