Looses connection during sync
Oct 5 2007, 4:28 AM EDT
Hi everybody.

I just bought a brand new HTC S710. But I cannot connect the phone to my laptop. This is how it is:

1) I have reset the phone to factory defaults
2) First time connect via USB with Active Sync is ok, partnership created succesfully
3) Syncronization starts but after a while sync is stopped and Active Sync says "no connection"

What is wrong here?

I am using Windows XP, Active Sync 4.5, HP 6910P laptop (brand new)

Hope somebody can assist me.

Best regards

Anders Pihl Knudsen

I got the same problem some time ago and found out that the synchronisation would not work because of ... Norton Antivirus or AutoProtect. Try deactivating them and reconnect your HTC. Also, try another USB plug. Sometimes, it's recognized as another device and works better.
