Cannot connect to secure wifi networks
Sep 13 2007, 8:38 PM EDT When I try connecting to a secure wifi n/w by putting in the WEP key .. the SDA rejects it saying the key is not correct. I have tried this many times .. and I know the key is correct as it works with all the laptops in the house. Please let me know if I am skipping some step .. or if theres a solution to this issue. However if I go through the configure wireless network setup and provide the network key in the Authentication window it will connect to that network. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Jun 27 2008, 6:15 PM EDT Hey all, I will post as bllohin although I am not registered member. If WIFI is configured to give connection only listed MAC addresses then you can not join that network. At my home I got Linksys wireless router and I configured it that only my phones mac and my notebooks mac address can connect, although they both need WEP key as well. So I hope this will help you or anyone else who searches for similar info. Do you find this valuable? |
