HTC's listening; SHIFT could have been great, here's what's missing-P2

>> 3. REMOVE the KEYBOARD from the SHIFT's design ( You can provide a "Freedom BLUETOOTH or USB keyboard" and "Bluetooth or USB Mouse" if you want that can go in the same LEATHER BAG as the SHIFT for those that want to prop up their SHIFT at the STARBUCKS, you have to have somewhere to type before you can type )

You can even keep the KEYBOARD plastics, just remove the Keyboard and put MORE BATTERY there... the added battery will add even MORE weight to the base when the unit is propped up in "STARBUCKS MODE", but let the user use an External USB or Bluetooh keyboard, I would be using an External Mouse as well. The built-in keyboard is over-rated, just takes what could be valuable BATTERY space, I'd rather have more BATTERY time than a BUILT-IN Keyboard.

The major need if your are going to run two sides of an HTC, is to be able to control the WM6 Phone in a little WINDOW (using SOTI PocketPC Controller Professional) via a hardwired USB to the PocketPC side from the VISTA side, and have VISTA running on 4GB memory (Use Standard SIMMS PLEASE) and a CORE 2 DUO Mobile Processor, T7600 or better, ( the added battery should help here )

HTC, HELLO, You've got a good concept with the CURRENT SHIFT, but many people won't buy it, because there is NO Phone and with a 800MHz processor it is way UNDER-POWERED to run WINDOWS VISTA.

HTC, you have released all of the technologies listed in this stream, (GPS, PPC PHONE, 800HMz VISTA, ect) in your previous products what the market is asking for is a HIGH PERFORMANCE convergence device, HINT: a LOW or MID performance product will always sit on the shelf because no one wants to go backwards, even the the OLD HP TC1000 Tablet PC had a 1GHz Processor... 5 years AGO... see what I mean, at 0.8GHz (800MHz) the SHIFT is already OLD NEWS...

you are under-powered... the shift is correctly powered.

you don't need more than 512Mb of ram for Vista... 1Go is really good .. you should have tried the SHIFT before talking about it like your bad comments ... stop talking about what you don't know.
