Wi-Fi Not Working
May 21 2007, 11:19 PM EDT
After I installed the update my Wi-Fi has stopped working. The 8525 shows Wi-Fi is on. However my home network is displayed but unavailable. Internet access through G3 works fine. Any way I can return to the previous version? 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

I have a similar problem. My WiFi turns on and finds my home network, but after about 30 seconds it just turns off. I'm stuck for now, so any help here is welcome. Do you find this valuable?

I have a similar issue. I'd set up my 8525 to work with 2 different wireless networks. After the update, it will not connect to either one. One uses WEP and the other uses WPA-PSK with TKIP.

Any suggestions?

Just additional info; Mine connects for about 15 seconds, then disconnects, then reconnects over and over again. Sure wish someone had some ideas.

Any experts think updating/reverting back to an older radio is possible or advisable?

Ran a test:
Tried to connect to a completely UNSECURED network. It connected fine the first try. So, went home and disabled ALL security (other than MAC filtering) and let the 8525 do it's thing. It connected!!! Then, simultaneously (sp) enabled WPA-PSK with TKIP on my wireless router AND the 8525. It still worked!!! All is right with the world.

I am still having problems. My wifi is secured and it will conect only when I reset my router. Then it will pick it up from my 8525. After about 10 conections that i may do to the router (meaning off and on), it searches for my router then off agian. Then it sees my router and then off agian just like in the 2nd to the last comment before mines. What did you guys do to correct the issue? Do I have to dissable the wep feature because I dont want to. Is there anything. Please help. Thanks. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?
