Download Active Sync from Microsoft. That is all you need to sync the device and use a PC.

ActiveSync won't do it all - if you have any intentions to use your phone as a modem (a beautiful feature) - you need to download an additional driver for Modem Link. It IS on the original CD, but I'm with you - mine is gone. If anyone knows where this driver can be downloaded, please post the link - this is a great feature when you need to jump online from your PC in a minch situation. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. You shouldn't have to download an additional driver for Modem Link. You can download the latest rom version for the 8125 at america.htc.com, although beware that it will reset your device to factory settings. (latest ROM is May 2006). You must have a data plan in order to teather you device with modem link to browse the net..

You might be out of luck. I had misplaced mine and had no luck finding a replacement disk. The code on the disk has to match the code on the phone. They only ship phones with the CD.
