My screen cracked as well - have no idea how as it was in my pocket. They do not have a process for fixing these phones. But you can buy a new one cheaper on ebay than the estimate to repair $170ish. They must be very cheaply made.

I have had the same issue. External LCD cracked while it was in my pocket. I have seen a few other forums where people have been complaining about this (more every day). I am seriously hoping HTC gets wind of this issue and offers to repair these screens for free. I have had 5 different HTC devices and a few of them I outright abused but they never had an issue - just kept asking for more. The 3125 I have babied like no other and this is what I get? Just does not make sense......

"My 3125 has Out of Warranty LCD damage ...who do I contact for repair service?"I dont have a 3125 but a qtek 8500 wich is identical and same cry here! Not only that but also the main screen will go nuts if the phone twists a little and the phone will freeze and shut off. The phone shell is very weak. I wonder if cingular will be willing to repair my qtek... Do you find this valuable? |

Same story here... this is my third of these phones. The first two were replaced under warranty - one because it kept losing the storage card and required a reboot to refind it, and the other because it just freaked out and wouldn't turn on. Of course, since it's a cracked screen, Cingular says it automatically voids the warranty. They don't seem to care that it's ridiculously fragile and breaks in your pocket while you walk. The screen protector glass is fine. The screen, cracked beyond use. Ugh.
I really, really like the IDEA of this phone... unfortunately the quality leaves a lot to be desired. Do you find this valuable? |

I have the AT&T Tilt, one thrid of the screen went blank. It was being carried in the breast pocket of a jacket. The crack could only be seen when you first turn it on. Ovet time it spread and the whole screen is now useless. Talked with an AT&T warrenty supervisor, he had a arrogant and condaseding attitude, said it was my fault and AT&T would not repair or replace. They would sell me another one, at a reduced price. Lucky me.

F_ck. Hey guys...I bought an HTC Touch 3 weeks ago, my cat knocked it off my desk onto the carpet and the internal screen cracked. I couldn't f_cking believe it. I mean we're talking a drop of a few feet. Wireless Wave where I bought it with an extended warranty said they didn't cover it.I am still in shock at how easily it broke. I thought the external screen was supposed to protect it. Do you find this valuable? |

I have ATT tilt. Dropped it and broke the glass. I ordered new LCD from www.pdasmart.com yesterday and installed today. Works great! What a relief. I've only owned phone a week. One word of advice. To install new screen on the HTC Tilt, Kaiser 100, 8925, you only need to remove the front cover. No need to remove anything from the back. I learned that the hard way. Forntunately, the phone still worked after I figured that out. Goodluck.

All, My Corporate office found a repair company for these phones in Indiana. I will find out where and post it here. My IT lady is gone for a week but I won't forget to ask when she gets back. (Maybe that is enough to Google it & find out.) Do you find this valuable? |

I started to do it as kaiser manual recommend and it is impossible to it . I am just not good at that. If someone can help me seperate the two parts of the phone ( the keyboard part and the screen part ) or if there is a way to acess the screen from the front cover maybe ? thanks . u can email me at majdmd@sbcglobal.net Do you find this valuable? |
