unlock code for 8125 cingular

I have the htc (cingular) 8125 and I would like to unlock the phone to use any gsm card in the world. does any one know how to get the unlock code information without paying up to $25 ? I don't mind paying a fee but from what I understand the unlock codes are a nominal fee, not 10, 15, 20 or 25 dollars ! thank you...s1w

Just call Cingular and ask them for the unlock code as you will be traveling and would like to use pre-paid sim cards outside the US.
They will fill out a form and ask for your email address. After about 3-5 days you will get the code with instructions on how to do this...ITS FREE... 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Check out his link http://www.htcwizardweb.net/node/170 . I used lokiwiz to unlock mine, simple, painless, and free... not forms about it.
