Garmin Mobile XT Problem

I am using garmin mobile xt on my touch hd win.pro6.1. When I run the navigation software the screen goes dim every 30 seconds or so and I get a variety of messages coming up such as " Dialed from mobile, Cannot connect for an unknown reason. To check.your connection settings and change them tap settings"?.
I dont use GPRS and only use hotspots. but not sure if this is a related problem Can anyone tell me how to stop the messages coming up? thanks Do you find this valuable?
