Can't turn Alarm Off
Nov 7 2009, 12:01 AM EST | Post edited: Nov 7 2009, 12:01 AM EST
For the last few days the alarm on my phone has been going off at times when it is not set to do so (specifically, in the middle of the night). I'm using the alarm program that came with the device.

I was recently traveling in a different time zone and the alarm now seems to be going off at the time of morning that I would have awoken there.

Last night there were no alarms set at all - no checks in the little boxes. Still, alarms went off at 3:00 am and 3:15 am, each "notification" telling me it was the 7:00 or 7:15 alarm. Then it went off again at 7:00 am and 7:15 am. Again, this was when there was no alarm set to go off.

Can anyone help? This is a big problem - costing me sleep.

Is it the alarm that is going off or notification sounds or calender reminders. Look through your sounds and notifications folder for reoccurring notifications , same with your calender.

Thanks for your response.

I believe I've checked the calendar sufficiently and that the source of the problem is not there. I don't use the calendar function much. The noise in question sounds and behaves suspiciously like the Alarms I've set in the past. Except I haven't set them this time.

What I generally do: Under "Clocks & Alarms" there are options for three different alarm times. I generally set the first two in the list fifteen minutes apart, in order for the second one to act as a sort of "snooze" function. This was working fine until last week.

What is happening now: If I've got the alarms set for 7:00 and 7:15 am, they go off at 3:00 am and 3:15 am and then again at 7:00 and 7:15. They also go off at 3:00 am and 3:15 am even if I don't have any of the alarms checked (on) at all.

Any other ideas of what might be causing this?
