Help with my screen going black when making a call on Touch Viva

As soon as I start a call the screen goes black and am unable to use keypad (obviously) on my HTC Touch Viva. HTC support had me update the ROM and it didn't help. Any ideas?

update...tried kaiser tweaks and it did not help at all Do you find this valuable?

Kaiser Tweaks is a great program - the first tweak program I used on my Tilt, but it is limited primarily to the Kaiser phones (HTC-8925). Try Advanced Configuration 3.3 It is similar to Kaiser Tweaks but it covers most WM6.1 ROMs and gives you over 200 tweaks. I have it on my Tilt and Fuze and it works great. It also plays nicely with Kaiser Tweaks, so no need to unload KT from your phone. Check the Advanced Configuration page on this Wiki for info on how to download, install and use AC3.3 When you get it loaded, you need to change two items to get your screen to stay on during a call. Go to "Phone" and expand it then set "Phone sleep during call" to "Not Allowed" and set "Fast Sleep during Call" to "Disabled".

If you're happy with it, don't forget to send the author Julian Schapps a contribution to keep him writing this type of software for newer phones. Do you find this valuable?
