HTC Touch HD - Cannot connect to GPS

I downloaded Sportypal. After i started this application, it gave me a message about connecting to GPS........but it never connected to GPS, even after waiting for an hour or so.......i installed GPS test, that seems to be working fine. Can any one help? Do you find this valuable?
