Contacts synchronisation
Oct 24 2009, 7:06 PM EDT
Hi,This is my first post after signing up so hopefully I wont break any conventions. I have an issue with using Activesync with my HTC Touch Diamond. Basically it will sync the basic contact details but will not capture any of the spouse/children/ comments etc details. Does anyone have any ideas where this is by design, whether I've not configured something properly or whether it's a fault? From what I've read, Activesync should take all contact data. I'm using Activesync 4.5 by the way. Thanks in advance, Andrew G. Do you find this valuable?

I've got a Touch Pro. The reason I went with it over the Diamond is because the Diamond has limited onboard storage capability. No SD card slot. I believe that may be your prob. It's just a guess. -:))

The problem I am having is synchronising the contacts that are already on the phone with the contacts that are held on the deskstop; for some reason not all the details held on the phone for each contact are synchronised. Thanks, Andrew G. Do you find this valuable? |

So you're getting "half synced?" Tell me what steps you've gone thru from the beginning. A B C it for me.

"So you're getting "half synced?" Tell me what steps you've gone thru from the beginning. A B C it for me."Barryudcoff, Apologies for the exceptionally long delay in my replying. It appears it was user error, the data had been fully synch'd I just wasnt looking in the right place. I went onto the contact and showed additional fields (selecting 'all contact fields') and the data I thought was missing was in there. Thanks for your reply, and sorry again for the long pause before I responded. Andrew Griffin. Do you find this valuable? |

barryudcoff,I've hit another sync problem, not sure if you can help, or if I should be raising a new topic? Basically, took some photos on my HTC Touch Diamond, and they've magically disappeared. They were there, and now they're not. Only thing I've done since is an Active Sync. Is it possible that Active Sync woudld elte these files even though they were never moved on the device or copied manually to the PC? Also, and this is the bit I'm dreading the answer to... can I get those pictures back?? They were of my partner's wedding dress, and she's distraught that they've disappeared! :-( Thanks for your time and help, Andrew G. Do you find this valuable? |
