"Missed Call" even when I answer!

Since I installed the new firmware, my phone frequently says "Missed Call" and hangs up on the caller even when I explicly hit the answer button. This occurs about once out of every five calls (I've tested this statistic by repeatedly calling myself from another phone). I wouldn't be surprised if this had something to do with the T9 problems, indicating some keyboard problem in general.

"Since I installed the new firmware, my phone frequently says "Missed Call" and hangs up on the caller even when I explicly hit the answer button. . . ."This might be a lost cause, but since I do not use the "Push Email" feature of this update, and would love a more reliable "Answer" key, is there any source of the previous ROM version. I do not text, so T9 can work or not as far as I am concerned. I just am getting very tired of my 2125 interpreting the soft answer key or the hard green phone answer key as an "Ignore Call" resulting in missed calls about 40% of the time. Not sure anyone is monitoring this thread any longer, but any link to an old cached ROM from before the current that may fix my problem would be very appreciated. Do you find this valuable? |

This weekend was two days in hell wiht my 30 day old ATT Tilt. Would not power on easily. finally did and my contacts missing. Followed all the steps could find in the documents and found nothing changed plus device began to get slower the further I went. Reloaded ActiveSynch and matters got worse. Can't get synch so missing many important contacts, phone reverts to voice mail wihtin 3-4 rings include vibrate before actual ring -- and as a phone instrument my old Backjack was far superior. Going to an LA ATT exchange place tomorrow but wiht the hours i have put into this product and lousely synch, could have bought something more expensive that might work better - oh, what's that you say: there is nothing more expensvie? Better get satisfaction tomorrow!! Any thoughts on the synch and loss of contacts? BTW, any idea if they ahve a stronger battery open in the works? Thanks for hearing me out.

I just bought a HTC Touch Pro... .and it is exhibiting the exact same symptoms! What do I do?!!? It's so frustrating! It's nice that the phone has all of these super features, but if it can't even answer a call...?????

Regarding the HTC Pro, I am having exactly the same problem. The phone rings and I try to answer but it just keeps flashing that there is an incoming call. I am really racking up a phone bill as I have to call everyone back. Anyone with a solution?

This is ludicrous, everyone seems to be having this problem - me included. I've looked around and can't seem to find a fix. There has to be something causing it. The screen indicates that I am clicking on the "ANSWER" button by slightly changing the colour of the ANSWER key, however the call does not answer, and just rings off until it either diverts to Voice Mail or, it does answer but the caller hears nothing. I have to call every 4th-5th caller back and it is looking extremely unprofessional? Any ideas are much appreciated...

The problem is caused by registry editor/ tweaks such as Advanced Control, Diamond Tweaks, etc. timing out the Data Connection. When you enable the time out it won't allow simultaneous voice and data connections.Easy fix- Check your windows registry (I use Schap's .9 beta): HKLM/Comm/ConnMgr/Planner/Settings/SuspendResume if it reads GPRS (or some variant) make sure you change to 777# For more info see http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.php?p=458469&postcount=1 Problem solved. ;) 4 out of 4 found this valuable. This was exactly the situation with my Telus Touch Diamond after using Diamond Tweaks - the registry setting for HKLM/Comm/ConnMgr/Planner/Settings/SuspendResume was set to GPRS_bye_if_device_off. I changed to 777# as suggested and it works!
