Touch Pro Text change/Yahoo Messenger

I am on my second HTC Touch Pro as the first one just got replaced due to faulty software. I have read these forums for over 6 months and thought I would ask a few questions which I cannot find the answer too.

Is there anyway to change the text color option? I have downloaded Themes but it still has this baby blue factory text color, it is very light and would like to get rid of it.

Also, I have read that these phone should come with a Yahoo Messenger download, but alas mine does not. There is no "Messenging" in my Programs, just "Messenger" for windows live. Does this mean my company does not support it? Or how do I get this application since it obviously exists just is not on my phone.

But there is lots of apps out there that will allow you to use yahoo. Do you find this valuable?

I was actually looking for an Instant messenger, I dont care to know about the news or my spammer email from there. Maybe it doesn't exist. Would be nice to have the application you have on your PC that would alert you to actual IMs unlike their mobile/messenger which is ridiculous and their SMS never stays connected to use the mobile direct. Oh well

PS. Do you use a specific App you wold recommend that mimics a PC version IM service. Do you find this valuable?
