HTC Touch PRO 2 - problem with sending emails

I have bought a htc Touch Pro 2.

I have set up my email account but there seems to be a SMTP problem. SMTP port for my outgoing server is 587 but even I add it after the server address such as mail.*****.com:587 I cannot get it working... Any suggestions? Does anyone knows some registry tricks to get rid of this problem? Do you find this valuable?

Some, if not most email providers do not allow you to use their outbound mail server from a wireless device since you dont have a static IP address that they can recognize you with. Most mobile carriers have you use their outbound SMTP server; who is your carrier and have you tried theirs? Do you find this valuable?

Thanks for the post but I managed to solve the problem ... It is a silly problem.

I checked "Outgoing server requires authentication" and it was ok. However, in my PC it is unchecked and I don't experience any problems... Weird! Do you find this valuable?
