How 2 turn off text tone while on a call, snooze, & loudness during cl

Okay~ well I have just had my phone for about a month.. and there are a few things I can't figure out... Like~
1. while I am on a call, and recieve a text during that call...the text notification still rings through~ very annoying and I can't figure out how to make it not notify me while I am on the call.
2. Is there a way to set a "snooze" on the alarms?
3. When I am on a call... the sound quality SUCKS! I can barely hear the person on the other end (and it is ALL the way up) I have to keep the headphones in at all times to even be able to hear the caller... is there a way to fix that?
Thanks :)

I don't think you can make it not notify you during a call

On the stock alarm, no you cant set a snooze, i recommend G-alarm, Really good free app.

The sound quality doesn't make sense if its brand new, I found in my profession that fine metal shaving's get stuck to the speaker and make it really crappy. but that took a long time for it to ruin my speaker.

I haven't found a way to snooze the alarm or even shut it off until it's finished its thing. Likewise for the notification alert.

I'll make a perhaps dumb suggestion but one that I fell victim to - make sure your screen protector (if you have one) is not blocking the earpiece. It's amazing how much that bit of plastic can quiet the speaker.

If I'm using the standard alarm, I set the tone to something short like "Alarm5" that way it's not too obnoxious. For snooze I set two alarms 15 minutes apart, so if one doesn't wake me the other one will. You can also set a calendar event to wake you at a particular time each day and can repeat that for as long as you want. Those calendar reminders have variable snooze times that you can pick, but you have to be awake enough to pick the amount of snooze time. G-alarm may be easier to use.

Good tip on not covering the speaker with the screen protector ; )
BTW - those HTC screens are pretty tough. I have been using HTC phones for about 4 years and have not needed a screen protector. My old Treo screen got pretty scratched up, but I think that was from having it in my pocket with keys, change, etc. I have since started carrying my phone in a holster and have had no scratch problems.

Keys are what do it, not only do they scratch the screen but the whole housing I find. And if you fall really hard on your leg and your keys are in between the floor and your phone....say hi to a cracked screen. Plus with windows 6.5 and 6.1 being much more finger friendly then 5.0 we tend to use the stylus less which theoretically should reduce scratches. Another thing I find is the the "frame" of these new phones are so much better. I went threw two Toshiba E400's, they had just a crappy aluminum housing. Fell mountain biking, and jumped threw a car window and both times just folded the thing in half, exaggerating of course... Do you find this valuable?
