HTC Touch HD hard sets itself

hi guys, wonder if anyone can help . my Touch HD hard sets itself without any prompt from me..it's only a few months old .. cos i work nights the phone is on most of the time, so at least once every 3 or 4 days i switch the phone of for at least 5 minutes, when it is switched back on, some times i am confronted with the initial screen setup ...all the phone data gone. it has also done it if i have just had to turn the phone off for security reason's any idea's Do you find this valuable?

When I had a cooked ROM it did that and all I had to do was re-flash the ROM and it worked again...i still don't no why it was hard resetting but that fixed it for me.

What country/carrier are you with? plus you never no it might help with your bluetooth problem.

If you wanted to flash your ROM you would need to find the original shipped ROM first.

If your Touch HD isnt network branded, you should be able to use this one: http://www.htc.com/uk/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=179&cat=2&dl_id=533If that doesnt work, call the HTC support - they can book the device in for repair for you :) If you dont want to call the expensive 0845-number, you can find the direct phone numbers here: http://htcrom.com/direct_phone_numbers_htc_support Do you find this valuable? |
