HTC 8525 WM6.0 software upgrade from 5.0 to 6.0

I can not locate a site for uprade. HTC no longer hosting. Most sites have 6.1 which does appear compatible with the Cingular HTC 8525. Do you find this valuable?

6.1 should work fine on the 8525. Check out xda-developers.com site for custom roms that will work with your device. There are lots of them that work with the Tilt (8925) and you can also find WM6.5 for the Tilt. If you look around xda you will probably find a 6.1 or 6.5 that is compatible with your 8525. denco7 is the expert on ROMs at xda. PM him and ask the question. Yes but flashing ur deice with a cooked ROM voids your warranty, someone will have the OEM 6.1 ROM for ur device google it. Il look later for u as well just don't have the time right now. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Im just stating it so people no because we should state that it voids warranty, possibility of bricking your phone is there and so on. If you don't already no about cooked ROM's you probably don't no about the risks involved. I my self forget to let people no, its just second hand nature to use a cooked ROM for me now :P i probably will never use a original ROM again lol Do you find this valuable?

The phone is so old it couldn't be under warrantee. denco7 and I were just pulling your chain ; ). You are absolutely right, anytime we send someone in the direction of a cooked ROM we should always remind them of the warrantee and bricking the phone issues. I always tell them about the potential for bricking the phone when I give them reg edits too. Do you find this valuable?
