HTC Diamond Inernet Explorer (IE) login input bug

When I go to mobile gmail on my HTC Diamond's IE and get to the logon page, I click in the username field, the keyboard then appears and dissapears instantly and I cannot enter the information anymore.

The work around for the username is to actually write it somewhere else and then copy and paste it, the same does not work for the password since you cannot paste information in that field.

This happens with other sites as well...

Anyone had the same problem? were you able to solve it? Do you find this valuable?
