"Does the CDMA Model of the HTC Touch (Vogue) have the same screen as GSM Model of the HTC Touch (Elf)The phone dimensions are slightly different, and of course the processor is totally different , OMAP 850 at 201 MHz for the Elf and MSM 7500 at 400 MHz for the Vogue. But I am 99% certain that the screens are exactly the same. Standardization of parts across a variety of models, is what cuts costs and keeps companies in business and their products affordable. The difference in GSM and CDMA has nothing to do with the screen , it just has to do with the receiver. Do you find this valuable? |

yes i no the cpu is differnet and that other stuff but thanks for that anyway, and i going to see if i can find some part numbers to verify with but as like you are, im pretty sure also the screen is the same, figured id get a second opinion and if anyone has tried it please let me no.just to get ur opinion, im thinking about how my telus version doesn't have the wifi enabled and even if i do find a way to enable it (if it has the hardware) i no that it doesn't have the wifi antenna so it will be useless, someone i no needs a new screen so im thinking of buying a gsm parts phone with a good screen still and giving him that and try to get the wifi antenna out of it. Do you find this valuable? |
