ROM Update for HTC Touch in INDIA

Hi there..I was wondaring why there is no ROM Update for HTC Touch in INDIA. The phone I am using is having ROM Version 2.20.720.2B WWE and ROM Date is 10/02/07. Please let me know if there is a ROM Update avaiable for the same. Do you find this valuable?

But I checked websites from different countries and they are providing updates for the same model. I dont know why there is no update for Indian Touch GSM. Alos there is no windows update, its still running Windows Mobile 6.0 Do you find this valuable? |

"There is no such update available here for Touch (GSM).If there is no update there , then there is no update for your phone. It is generally up to the service provider to request updates for your phone. I doubt that there will be any further updates. Do you find this valuable? |

In India, there is very rare contract schemes provided by the Service providers. So, 99% percent of people having HTC Touch will not get any updates. Thats really very bad and sad. I wont purchase HTC any more

I wont purchase HTC any more"The Touch is a two year old phone ( June 2007 ) and HTC is a company that makes money for their investors by selling phones, not by providing free software to update old phones. They would soon be out of business if they focused resources on writing free software for older phones, instead of using resources to develop and sell new phones. It may seem unfair, but does your car company offer a free engine replacement for your car when it gets old and outdated ? Almost all phones even very new ones ,are not getting 6.5 updates either. On the bright side , you are not missing anything by sticking with 6.0, except maybe threaded messaging, and that can be added with 3rd party app. Do you find this valuable? |

Hi .... can you please provide me the link from where you downloaded the ROM Update. I tried Asia Global website, but there is no update for HTC Touch. Please send me the link. Can you tell me which service provider u r using and from where you bought the phone.

I too installed windows 6.5 from xdadevelopers. Now i could get rid of some sound related issues that I had. And 6.5 seem to be stable. Thank you sushan for the update.
