Verizon

Please investigate what Verizon is going to do with Alltel phones and contracts...customers are not aware, they have to turn in there phones and pay for new ones...Verizon plans to shut down all Alltel phones at the end of the year...

Why would they have to turn in their phones? Alltel phones operate on the same network technology as Verizon (CDMA) (Why do you think Verizon bought Alltel?). Actually if you have an Alltel phone you are already using the Verizon network. You should have received a letter stating that your free call network now includes the entire Verizon and Alltel networks.

Do you have some means of substantiating this or are you just ranting about something you heard somewhere from someone else who heard it from someone else who..... Do you find this valuable? |

I got a letter stating that my Alltel account would not change. Only when I renew my contract (expires Oct of 2010) would it be under possibly different terms.
