Internet setting for AT&T 3g network

Hi all, I have a US. version of HTC Touch Diamond which ,according to its specification, can access the AT&T 3g or HSDPA network. But so far all I can get is just EDGE.
Any idea of how to setting my HTC to access the faster network here in Baltimore MD ?

The US version of the Diamond, is CDMA which is not compatible with AT$T network. The European model, which I suspect that you have if it is GSM, is not compatible with us 3G networks, edge only. Do you find this valuable?

Hi denco7, please correct me if I am wrong. As I know CDMA is Verizon network, isn't it? I am using my phone with AT&T now and on the phone I can set the band to UMTS(850+1900)+GSM(850+1900). I talked to the people at Bestbuy who sell similar phone and even people at my local AT&T dealer, they said this phone is capable to use AT&T 3g or faster HSDPA network. But since AT&T not carry this phone they don't know what happen.
Any idea?

I am sorry, you were saying Diamond and I was saying Diamond, and I was THINKING Touch Pro. You are right the US GSM Diamond will work on AT$T' s 3g network.

Have you gone into settings>personal>phone> network/auto >band>all settings to auto ? Do you find this valuable?

Thank your for your prompt answer. Yes, I did. I also created new connection with the setting I found on the net but they all work the same, nothing has changed. I really don't know what is wrong.
