1. RE: touchflo application
Apr 10 2009, 3:24 PM EDT
As Ms. Hamilton said in the Wizard of Oz, "These things are done delicately".Look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=254 Be absolutely sure - Be absolutely sure! What your about to do before you do it. And be aware of the definition of Brick as in I bricked my phone. With all due caution, there is a plethora of wonderfull things to see. Skip the boring how to part and you could just have a brick. Read the Faq, Read the install guide, Read the chosen thread for whines of brickmakers. A search under Hermes for "touchflo" results: http://forum.xda-developers.com/search.php?searchid=22768944 All stern cautions being thrown to the wind. I will admit I am testing WM6.5 on an extra 8525 I picked up on Ebay. All works very nicely, It also has TomTom5 ($30.00 Ebay buy) in conjunction with a BT59c Satalite locator (navstar III). Actually works much nicer than the $400.00 TomTom device for the car. The WiFi is ok, but range with WiFi will always be an annoying issue. The Test 8525 Works wifi just fine when in a hotspot as expected, and seems to an equal to or slightly greater than range than some laptop users I have seen who huddle to the front of the deli hotspot. I can do email and browse from just leaving the parking lot before it drifts, but thats an entirely different issue isn't it. http://www.downloadsquad.com/2008/01/31/leaked-htc-touchflo-interface-for-windows-mobile-hits-the-web/ 1 out of 1 found this valuable.
