AT&T HTC Fuze
Feb 26 2009, 11:04 AM EST
My company bought me a new HTC Fuze last week after I proved that it was better than the company standard Black Berry, for me at least. The Letter Recognizer (LR) is the main reason that I choose using HTC phones; what makes even better is the auto word completion. The auto word completion is working on the key board mode; however, it is not working in the LR mode. Neither HTC or AT&T have a fix; does any one have a fix other than buying software.

Here is the response from a 3rd representative with HTC this morning.Thank you for your inquiry about Word Completion on your HTC Fuze. We understand it is important to have all the feature you want on the device. Unfortunately, the device does not the option for word completion when using the Letter Recognizer tool. The Word Completion is only for the Compact QWERTY, Full QWERTY, and Phone Keypad. HTC does not have any release information about updates. To find future updates, you would need to go to our web site http://www.htc.com/us/support_select_product.aspx and select your device. The device is functioning as designed. HTC would not be able to offer repairs for this matter. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause you. I found the answer here:http://bfg100k.blogspot.com/2008/08/diamond-tip-word-completion-annoyance.html It involves an obscure registry tweak, but it worked for me. -- DaveSlash Do you find this valuable? |
