HTC Touch HD files disappear.

I bought a HTC Touch HD 2 days ago and I have a problem with it. It appears that all my files disappear. It's like a format or something. And I don't know why this happens. I don't receive any message and only the empty folders remain.
I've tried some restore programs but the storage card is empty, like those files never existed. Can you help?
