HELP! My HTC touch keeps "freezing"//getting a "no signal" msg.

I have no idea what to do with my HTC touch. I keep getting a "no signal" at the top left corner or it just freezes and I can't even go to the main page. I have the iphone application. It's supposed to make the phone look more like an iphone. It was already installed on the phone when I got it. I like the application but I am wondering if this app is causing the issues. It also will just freeze and when I touch the screen, it does nothing but making a dinging noise. It seems to do this when I am charging it. Could I have a virus maybe? Do smartphones even get viruses? If anyone can help I would appreciate it so much Do you find this valuable?

While it is poissible to get a virus (these are after all little computers), it is very uncommon.
Go to Start>Settings>System Tab and uset the Remove Programs to delete all of the 3rd party applications on the device.
Soft Reset using the stylus and retest the device.
If that doesnt do it, Hard Reset (Press and hold the SEND and END call buttons whilst performing a Sof Reset). This will remove everything from your device an only reload the ROM. If this works, you have a clean device to start over with.

Thank you for your help but what you are saying is a bit confusing to me. I do not know what you mean by hard/soft and removal of 3rd party software. I think what I am trying to say is(if you dont mind)explain in more detail and tell me. Thanks!
