Distorted image on display Sprint HTC Pro.

I've had this phone for 7 days. Yesterday I noticed that when I opened the phone to use the keyboard, the display shows lines accross display, sometimes it looks kind of like a checkers's board. It was only when I opened the phone to use the keyboard but now the display is completely gone and I have to do a soft reset over and over again to get it to come up. It hasn't been dropped, no liquid damage, nothing. Anyone know about this and what it could be?

I called Sprint about the same problem and they sent me at Replacment/Warranty department and they want me to pay $50 for another unit. I said no I already paid full retail price. Called HTC for a rom update no luck. The tech guy told me we may have to do a reinstalation of windows but no support over the net yet. I was told to call : PCD 800 229 1235. It is a third party who handels CDMA repair for HTC. Keep you updated or keep me updated. Good Luck

I had the same issue. it cleared up after shutting down and powering up phone.
