Exchange syncing issue with Outlook on AT&T Tilt WM 6.1

Here's my issue -
My AT&T Tilt (with Windows Mobile 6.1) will not correctly sync with my Outlook Exchange. Appointments entered into Outlook via pc will update to the phone. However, appointment entered into the phone will NOT update to the pc calender when syncing.
I have tried changing timezones and back again.
I have also downloaded the DST patch (I live in Illinois and do deal with DST). After doing this, appointment for the second half of the year are not on the wrong time!
Neither fix seemed to work for the syncing issue.
Help!
Do you find this valuable?

This is an issue seen with many WM 6.1 devices, not just HTC.
Here is a workarounfd that is working out well for most:
1. Go to Start > Settings > Phone > Time Zone tab > uncheck "Automatic time change and clock."

2. Go back to the Today screen.

3. Tap the Clock to access the clock options.

4. Change the time zone to "GMT London, Dublin"

5. Go to Start > Programs > ActiveSync > and sync to the exchange server. This should send your appointments this time, and this will be a clean synchronization.

6. Change the time zone to your local time zone

7. Go to Start > Programs > ActiveSync > and sync to the exchange server. This should send your appointments this time. This will resolve the issue.

AWESOME TIP! I have Touch HD with Telstra ROM and have had nothing but problems with appointments created since DST kicked in on 4 Oct. They are always appearing to be 1 hour early on my device. I've tried several Microsoft forums and MS prescribed fixes with no result. Even though I only sync via direct connection to my PC I thought I would give this a try and it worked a treat!

Thanks so much for easing 4 days of hair pulling!
